A home audio question

I have 2 subwoofers that have the built in amp that you get with a crappy home stereo system. I was curious if it would be practical to hook the two amps to just one of the subwoofers to give it a little more power. I can get pictures if necessary.

My main concerns are just how wise is it to do this and how would I wire it.

Lastly, the process of hooking multiple amp outputs to increase power is known as bridging, correct?

Yeah, they are $20 home audio subs and my dorm neighbor and I are looking for a fun time. We are just wondering if we are going to blow a hole through his cabinet.

You can't just strap amps like that unless they are meant to be ran like that, it is not technically bridging as that would be through a single amp, but I guess you COULD call it that.

are they the same amps? If so go for it on a dual coil sub. How many watts are they. I have picked up a few cheap HT subs/plate amp enclosures just for the amps. I currently have a few 180w KLH plate amps that I bought from ebay. They all came in with blown 8" subs which i just threw away along with the boxes. Cost sbout $40 or so going on ebay

That amps are made by the same company but I doubt they are the same amp. 1 is from an actual Home Theater set up and the other is from a larger boombox/stereo.

And Im not sure of the power outputs on either one. It does not say directly on the amp but Im thinking of opening it up.

Also, now that I think about it, Im starting to think that it will not work because the speaker terminals that are on it are for the smaller speakers that make up the surround system, not the subs. So in order to get to the sub terminals, I will have to open up the amp.

Starting to think I should just go buy a cheap *** 200w lighting audio amp and a power converter.

Also, where would I get something that allows a small amp to run off of wall socket, whats it called, and what does it look like?
