About the radar detector... you are supposed to mount it has high as you can as long as it is not obstructed by tinting. If you mount it on the dash it can be blocked by the windshield wipers. The reason you would mount it high is because if it is high than you would have a longer sight into the horizon. Also it helps with the laser detection because it avoids reflection of the hood. The guy that wrote otherwise is (no offence) an idiot.

That's a lot of hating on your blue but I also got into that phase when I painted all my inside panels white in my ford ranger. Your system looks like it sounds good for what it is. It looks like that sub can take a whole lot more power though. Opinions are one thing, but people like to be dicks as well on this forum so don't pay any attention if your okay with your system.
