A crotch rocket tried to race me yesterday.

Still doesn't explain his erratic speed changes and unnecessary acceleration in expressway traffic. That is the biggest point. The looking back was merely details in the story.
again, if youve ever been on a bike, highway riding is rediculous when you are hunched over your tank. theres times where i take my hand off the bars to shake them out or stretch... the vibrations are killer on your back, arms, hands, etc. the friggin thing doesnt have cruise control.....and when you turn around its kinda hard to keep your wrist and hand steady on the throttle........

I agree the take-off at the end was un-necessary... but who gives a shit the only one he was endangering was himself.

I would bet he turned around to look for cops, and took off once he saw there were none. /thread....

again dont make assumptions if youve never been on a bike.

I have owned a bike so please keep your assumptions to yourself as well. He isn't only endangering himself on a crowded highway assmunch. There is no place for any kind of antics in traffic PERIOD! You can keep up your crusade all you want but I have seen way too many young "stuntas" on these machines doing stupid shit in traffic. By yourself on ope road with no one around then whatever, go ahead and kill yourself. To say him doing anything in traffic only harms him is purely assinine.

ovbiously no one was harmed.
Please show me where I say that these stunts ALWAYS cause harm??? However the more they are done and more people that do them the higher the percentage of accidents resulting from. Why play the odds in traffic? Are you really that dense?
3.62 posts averaged per day is spending too much time here?

I dont see how doing anything like that causes accidents........

In the rochester area (NY) there has been about 15 deaths or so on bikes, and not one of them were "stunting".... Most of them were from people in cars failing to yeild the right of way... which means they pulled out in front of the rider //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Well I learned one thing while reading this thread, this world is full of ****ing idiots....

O wait I already knew that, carry on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i have run a biker off the road, and it felt **** good. he didnt fall or anything, but those "wake up" bumps on the shoulders do a lot for a bike. ****er went around me, on the outside.I slightly moved over to close the shoulder side of my lane up (where he was passing) and he went on a little adventure. got squirrelly and actually caught it. slowed down REAL quick.
fucking idiot

Dumbasses drive cars and dumbasses also ride bikes.

and another side note, why would you spend the extra money on big bulky (ugly)mirrors, when you can just turn around and take a peek behind you.....?
The mirrors on my bike vibrate so bad, that I pretty much always have to turn around and check my blind spots. Plus it's not hard to do that and maintain a constant speed and direction.

I know absolutely nothing about bikes expect for makes and models. What I've always wondered though, is how is the gearing on a bike? The way I would imagine it would have to work would be nearly opposite that of a car. You would need a very low gear to start with to keep the front end on the ground and getting traction (from the insanely low w/p) and then would slowly get higher in the gearing, but not numerically higher, just relative to the previous gear. Basically, in a car, you might have 5,3.5,3,2.1,1.8 for your ratios for all 5 gears. In a bike, would it be like 2.5,2.4,2.25,2.0,1.8?

Maybe he shouldn't be riding after all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

I noticed that. It's a good bet that he has never taken a Motorcycle safety course. That or his instructor should be punched in the face. lol
