I woke up and got the idea of making my little 95 toyota tercel into a competition car...i mean its gonna start of small then get better...

this is what i want to do:

i got two 12 RE Sx's...

and so far with the amp i gonna slap a orion 2500d to them

just need a few answers.. as to electrical

should i get/find a HO alt. for my car like 150-200, and throw a red top under the hood...with the big 3.. some one help me out

if your talking about real competing, db drag n such, i would check into which category you want to get into, car has to be off in most stuff so make sure you have a good battery/ies, i have some local shows that dont car if the car is on or off

run the orion at .5 for burps

the SX's should put up a decent number if you have a good box for them

yeah im gonna have to make a box or get a box made small enough to get in my trunk but big enough for whats recomended for the subs....the only thing now thats worrying me is my electrical syste...i still somewhat want this car to be a daily driver....thats the crazy part

ho alt no, red top no, get better battery, add a 2nd battery if necesary, depends on what impedence you run the orion at regardless is an extremely efficient amp...

and fire in if you arent walling it

on the term lab legal on the windshield,with 2 re sx 12's and a orion 2500d at .5 i hit 147.2 in my ford explorer

u sure man, my cars stock alt is a 5hitty 70A and the orion i know is gonna draw more then that, and i would be runnin it at 1ohm.....

.5 for the bizzurps...maybe

200 amp H.O. alt, redtop under the hood, yellow/blue top in the trunk, 1/0 for big 3, 1/0 for amp wiring

you couldnt run it at 1 for daily then .5 for burps, not possible. if you have dual 2 ohm subs then your only wiring options are .5 and 2 ohms, and if you have dual 4 your options are 1 or 4 ohms.

do u have stock electrical system, and what is an explorers stock amperage....

if i dont keep this car, i would be trying to get a 00-01 explorer to pound in

It sounds to me like you arent ready to compete. "have a box made"...? No real competitor has their boxes made for them. And you wont do any good making a single box, you need to build build build, and see what works well in your vehicle.

As for the HO alt, yes it would be a good idea, but not needed if you are not using it as a daily vehicle and get yourself a good battery charger. Multiple batteries should be needed, because as said many times your engine will not be running.

i doubt i would be bangin it too loud daily though, i would keep it as a Sleeper plus theres too many haters out there to play it loud all the time
