Tonight I hit a 140.0 on Term Lab with stock alt. and 2.5^3 @ 32hz. Thats a single 12" SX in a Toyota Camry. But just because you can fit the box in the trunk, doesn't mean the best of things. Don't want to cram them of airspace in the vehical.
I would def. upgrade your alternator if your wanting to have a car jsut for comps. It wouldn't make sense not to really.

as far as competition...meh maybe thats not the best idea, but i at least wanted to get metered one of these days and feel confident about it...as opposed to getting metered then getting laughed at while in a competition...but one of these days i WILL be in some comps quote me on that.....and yes with the tercel...laugh now a-holes

i would feel better with HO alt though just need to find a company that makes one for my car which seems hard, i just want to beef the electrical up now so i dont have to in the long run....shouldnt harm anything right?

yeah im gonna have to make a box or get a box made small enough to get in my trunk but big enough for whats recomended for the subs....the only thing now thats worrying me is my electrical syste...i still somewhat want this car to be a daily driver....thats the crazy part

i found a box that fits... PERFECTLY into the trunk of the 95 tercel, for 55 bucks at best buy, open item, but im sure its like 80 or 90 new.. I know its not custom made, or prob not competition, but it fits reealy nicely

I woke up and got the idea of making my little 95 toyota tercel into a competition car...i mean its gonna start of small then get better...
this is what i want to do:

i got two 12 RE Sx's...

and so far with the amp i gonna slap a orion 2500d to them

just need a few answers.. as to electrical

should i get/find a HO alt. for my car like 150-200, and throw a red top under the hood...with the big 3.. some one help me out

As far as competing if you want to do DB Drag street B with the 2 SX12s you cant have an extra battery. ,And I wouldnt do a red top, you need a good deep cycle under the hood like a Kinetik or a yellow top plus several runs of 1/0 to the amps.. Stay away from starting batteries.
