After a very long wait from winter and saving I finally got to hear my system today and //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif all smiles I rushed it because i had somewhere to be and on that hour+ ride all seemed great but I hadn't set my gains on anything just kept it low. So I got Home and set my gains using the clipping sensor for my sub on the DD bass knob and set the front tweeters and 6.5 to loudest un-distorted and then boom I get a whine that goes with my Engine RPM's and a kind of white noise thats just there when the volume is all the way down and you can hear it at very low levels of volume and to top it off I get a turn off pop light and not too loud but a pop.
Here's the equipment
2008 Volvo S80
JBL MS-8
Zed Leviathan III
DD M2C
Sound qubed 6.5 pro's
CDT T-28
DD 3515
Knu Krystal Kable's
Everything is mounted to MDF
I have 2 1/0 power running from Battery to a distro block in the trunk and split from there
My ground is an existing bolt hole I know you guys frown on this but it seemed to be a very heavy metal spot and so i went with it.
I have a 1/0 ground from my battery to that bolt hole with all equipment grounds as well because I didn't want issues //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif so that didn't work.... and a new ground from battery to the Factory grounding spot.
All the Equipment is in the trunk close together So no long runs of RCA and the RCA's are not near the power.
The speaker wires from the Leviathan to the right side are close to the power wire runs but the noise and while are in all speakers.
No rear speakers at all
I had to cut the speaker wires coming from my factory amp (front right and front left) to get the signal to my MS-8 these wires are also fairly close to my 1/0 power runs Sky high 1/0 and NVX 16g
the remote turn on is from the fuse panel in my trunk that only turns on when the car is started :/ couldn't find an accessory power but will look better (in the front) and go from there.
That about sums up the install hopefully you guys have some ideas. I have a long weekend so I have plenty of time to re-do whatever is needed.

sounds decent I still have to play with it. The MS-8 does't make messing with the x-over easy at all.
Voltage is good too BTW that was a concern of mine and some on the forum max gain with the clipping light blinking rapidly showed 12.5 at the lowest I've seen but hangs around 13.2 13.3 and it's at 13.5 with no volume
