99 jimmy instaling 6X9's help

i just bought a pair of pioneer 6x9's 900 watt....and i'm trying to fit them in to the side of my 99 jimmy but they dont seem to be fitting. should i just put them in a box and lay them on the floor or cut into the panel and hook them up that way. i'm pretty lost any help would be nice.

Take those 6x9's back to wherever you got them and get some 6.5's. That's what fit the doors on a blazer/jimmy. Also get some nice 4x6's for the dash. Set the dash speakers at around -6 db. You can thank me later.
