Alright guys I just picked up a JGC and am needing some ideas/opinions on how to finish her up

So far Ive got

Pioner Deh-5000U or something like that

12 inch Re Sx

hifonics bxi-1608d

Stinger Sp70 battery

I still need wiring which I plan on going all Knu

I need to figure out what I'm going to do for Speakers. I was wanting to run all components but might do Coaxial in back and comps up from.

As far as sizes go its 6x9 up front and 6 3/4 rear according to crutchfield. I really dont see many choices in 6x9 component wise and Id like matching sets. Should I just modify and mount a smaller speaker in the 6x9 space? 5 3/4? or 6 inch?

I dont want to spend a lot more money so trying to keep it around 100 a set plus about 140ish for an amp. Any recomendations?

As far as installing my HU what all do I need? Anyone have a preference on Install kits. I also have the Infinity Gold speakers and Im pretty sure theres an amp that needs bypassed. Whats the best way of doing this?

Also if anyones got pics of there jeeps setups feel free to post up. I need ideas on where im mounting everything.

sonic electronix sells and adaper plate for a 6x9 hole that turns it into any size you want you just hav to cu the hole out of the plate. the adapter is kinda flimsy but if you seal it right you shoud be ok. i never took pics when i was doing my jgc but if i did i would post them for ya

um, they dont have 6x9's in the doors.... most likely 5.25's

Hell I can barely get my 5.25's in the stock door locations of my Cherokee //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Well im just going by what crutchfield has told me. Apparently there wrong. so 5 3/4 for all 4 doors?
Was there a depth issue? I dont want to not be able to roll down my windows
well no shit, I looked up those door panels of yours and they are 6x9's....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

This might help you out some :

so you do have 6x9's up front, and 6's in back. The 6's in back will be fun to replace, since the screw holes probably wont match what you buy.

Ok sweet so crutchfield was right. Anyone have recommendations on a set? Trying to stay around 100 dollars a set. Im thinking about modifying the front for another size. I dont see many options components wise in a 6x9

Thanks snoopdan!

CDT makes componant 6x9's....but if you went that route id not suggest their titanium tweets, ive got a set in my vette and they're a bit harsh.

And if worse comes to worse, you can buy some regular 6x9's and just disconnect the tweets on them, and hook them to regular crossovers and add some sattelite tweeters elsewhere - like maybe on your a-pillars.

i have an 01 jgc and i'm going to go with 6.5 comps for the front (w/ adaptor plate) and just leave the rear doors with the stock infinity's... and 6.5's do fit in the rear as well..

OK Im thinking 5 1/4 up front and 6 1/2 for the rear. How would the Pioneer Premier line sound. These are in my price range. Im having a hard time finding matching sets in both sizes.

You got a link to the adaptor plate? Thatd help me out. Then Id go all 6.5's

I was thinking about the a pillars or theres a nice spot on the door that I think would work good right by the mirrors and aim them back tilted towards me.

Thanks for help guys!

No problem, in no time you'll have a wall of 4 15's, 10 batteries, and 10k worth of power. Adding componants just goes down hill after that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
