99 Denali custom dash bezel

I've been working on this for a few days now.About an hour per day for the last 4-5 days. It will hold a 12 inch lcd. I should have taken pictures of the entire build but the camera was acting up. I have these pics and will add more if the camera cooperates.This is my first attempt at making anything custom. I checked out Steve Meade's website and even made contact with him as what materials to use to accomplish my goal.

The opening on the lower left of the screen was left that way on purpose. I was going to mount my hatch unlock/lock button there.The screen was angled a bit towards driver to get a better view and to avoid any glare.

Its actually a 2 door Tahoe-With the 99 Denali interior in it. I have the door panels, dash and seats for the Denali I'm looking at getting an Expedition floor console to add some more a/v to it.

screen is a 12 inch lcd non touch screen . I will be running an eclipse 6620 in the expedition console with a custom mount to hold the headunit in place.

I picked it up locally for about $150 but the company sells them on ebay all day long for about $130-140(12 inch) the 15 inch is about $175 but that shizz wouldnt fit into the bezel without major modifications.The 12 inch fit with minimal modifications.

After painting the inside of the bezel with a satin black then a few coats of matte clear. Upper right hand corner was sanded as there were a few runs in the clear. (Back to recoat it later)Outside bezel is still in primer as I wait for the SEM paint to come in.

Power to the screen-didnt have a video source at the moment.

This was a pretty fun project. I feel confident enough to start building these for anyone who is interested in one. I could do this for any screen size up to a 12 inch.Email if interested

The center console I will be using:

I will be mounting my Eclipse DD in it.

The black trim bezel came with the headunit.

glued it to the console with some clear silicone,filled seams with urethane filler.

Plenty of work to still do.Sanding, more filling.

Wanted to "see" what it looks.The opening between the DD and cupholders will get filled with a piece of ABS and molded flush
