'99 Camaro SS stock replacement

Looking to upgrade from the old Monsoon system that came stock in this car. The unique thing about this setup stock was that they put some tiny subs in the sides of the back seat. Every shop I've been to says they have no replacement for these speakers(6 1/2" subs?) They are all too deep. I'm not interested in building boxes or putting in bass tubes at this point. I'm looking to either replace the stock setup if possible, or just go with four 6 1/2" speakers, a 4 channel amp and a HU that is iphone and Sirius compatible. Budget is $1000. Any suggestions for the best sound at this price point? Oh, there are also a pair of 4" mids in the back of the car. I don't think they add much and would probably just leave those out.

Thanks

CDT HD-6MDVC is a drop-in replacement for those subs. I have 4 pairs of them in stock.

For the head unit I stock the Clarion CZ702 and CZ302. These will both fit your car with a dash kit and they both support SiriusXM with a separate tuner, as well as iPod/iPhone over USB.

The CDT HD-62 system can be adapted to fit the factory speaker locations. I would use the Precision Power P900.4 amplifier for the front and rear speakers. Along with an amp kit, the dash kit, and wiring harness, this would be the full package. I have something in mind for the woofer adapters for the front doors. I don't recommend retaining the rear 4" speakers.

Awesome to see a drop in replacement for the subs. I'll definitely take a pair of those! I think Id like some quality coaxes for the front, just to keep it simple. How much is the amp and where in the Camaro would that be installed? Thanks

This pair of bazookas are dvc d4's. Will wire down to 2 ohm for use with your monsoon amp. Still have em $65 shipped. Will not get a better price for stock replacements for your system.

It would require a new bracket but the amp might fit where the factory amplifier is mounted. I'm sure I can make the Massive Audio NX4 fit there, but the P900.4 might be too wide. Otherwise the standard options are putting a board somewhere in the back to mount the amp in a more visible location. The NX4 happens to be cheaper, but I like that amp quite a bit. I'm using one now for my vehicle.

I have some really nice coaxials that would work well for the front. This can all be bundled as one shipment to make it easy.

Sounds good. People seem to really like the P900.4 and if nothing else, I think it could go in the back where the old multi cd player was. What coaxials do you have?

If you want to test fit the P900.4 with the plastic wrap left on I would take it in exchange for a smaller amp if it won't fit.

The coaxials I have in mind are CDT DRT-26CXS. If your doors have a separate tweeter next to the woofer then it would sound better to use a component set.

Thanks to all who helped! Now, approx. how much should I expect to pay for an install for a Sirius HU with antenna, tuner, microphone etc, 4 6.5" speakers in factory locations, and a 4 channel amp? I think I have everything I need except wiring kit for the amp. I think this old Monsoon system has an amp already installed Do you have to bypass it or uninstall it or something? I live in Austin by the way if it makes a difference. Thanks
