I have a 99 4runner and will install a aftermarket Hu and don't want to cut any wires,I will buy a harness plug.I know the 4runner has a stock amp. but I want to know if I have to unplug the factory amp or i can leave it alone since I will wire my speakers to a 4 channel amp. It's the first time im going to do it on a 4runner.I just install the harness or there is something else I should know.Any help woul be good

You should be able to still run the factory amp or bypass it. It depends on the wiring harness that you buy.
I was thinking about getting a cheap harness at WaltMart or should I get a better one.How i bypass it?

The cheap one from Walmart will get the job done, its better ones out there, but you prob wont notice the difference. As long as your running new wires to your speakers from your amp thats all you really need. Your just getting 12v constant, 12v ignition, and a ground for your HU, the factory amp is not used period.

Thanks a lot, that's what I was thinking but had to make sure before installation
