98 WS6 ***** Am or a 98 cobra what would you take?

I would go for the cobra just because I think you can do more mods to it. And they look mean. My brother has a stang not a cobra but the 99 30th aniv and it has the cobra rims and all modded up. The thing is fast and handles well. I have driven the camaros etc with the ls1 and there fast as well. But over all I like the stangs feel and comfort in it. I believe you can see better in it as well.

I dont know if the LS1 could handle as well, does it have independent rear suspension?

I would definately take the GM made car over the ford... Even though the ford could be modded up easily, the LS1 comes stock fast as hell..

LS1 hands down..

I love Ford but other than the Lightning and Expy of course //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif their cars sucks ***.

Do a Cartek 2 or 3 stage upgrade kit.. You will fly...

LS1. I knew someone that had the older LT1 and with cold air and headers it toasted every mustang in the area that it ran into. Come to think of it, it never lost to a mustang prior to this. Then there was an incident with a Dodge Viper and it barely lost!!! Okay, actually it got toasted by the Viper.

1.1 liters (5.7 vs. 4.6) is difficult to make up for.

Both are rated around the same HP and Torque.

Both have a strong aftermarket, however, I've heard of several performance complaints with the WS6.

Traveling around to an extremely large number of car shows and events last year, I'd tend to favor the Cobra 4.6 significantly more.

The number of Mustangs I saw with simple bolt on's that were pushing the 450-500+ HP range was quite substantial compared to those with LS1 TA's.

Combining that and my own experience with the 4.6L over the past 2 years, I have found these engines incredibly easy to increase power on.

My 95 Tbird with an OEM 225 HP 4.6L is now pumping out roughly 300 HP at the wheels with an aftermarket exhaust, ignition, Ported Intake and Throttle Body, Injectors, and a ECM upgrade.

Saleen, Roush, and Steeda, have all worked wonders with the 4.6.

Personally, I'd look that direction.....

i love 4th gen f bodies. both cars can be made fast easily, but mustangs drive like crap. ford has yet to come out with a mustang that drives as tight as it looks. besides, there is no replacemnt for displacement.

except boost...personally id go with the ***** am tho. they look nasty with that ram air hood and some y2k corvette rims. black or that orange color they come in. but are you getting rid of the GN or something?

Im never gonna sell my GN..EVER..

My friend said that he'd take a cobra because of the speed and handling.

A LS1 T/A dyno's at what the cobra is rated at, and it has a faster lap times than a S2000.

My pro racecar driver bud said getting 500hp outta a LS1 would be easy, but the 4.6 following wouldnt be AS easy..

Then again hes won 2 GT championships, and is sponsered by chevy and has a fully built LS6 block in a 2400lb vette....so he kinda knows what hes talking about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
