98 explorers peak frequency?

I peak right at 45hz

I also find that my car is loudest all sealed up

yeh i think cracking the driver door would probly be the best. i had mine up like half way and it was lower then i did with the window all the way down and it was about the same as sealed, but i didnt do it with the door cracked. we meter sealed on the dash here so thats all i care about.

my best score of the day was a 151.7 @ 53 hz... it was my first burp of the day with a fresh charge on my rear battery (unhooking the front one is a hassle so i didnt bother) and 53 hz was the first frequency i tried. i didnt do a 151 again all day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i didnt try anything lower than 49 hz, but i was doing 150+ from 49 up to 57 or 58. wasnt having any trouble doing 50 in the kick all day, even with the car off, on music, batteries tired. didnt try a dash score until i'd been out there playing music and burping in the kick for an hour or so, but i put up a 150.4 on the dash at 52 or 53 hz playing young jeezy "trap or die" and did about the same with test tones, might have been a couple 1/10ths higher.

the crx had 4 type r 10s and the first day had one kicker 1200, and pushed it hard to do a 150.1 which i topped with a 150.9 saturday. sunday he came back with a second kicker 1200 and burped a 153.4 @ 62 hz in the kick. we bass raced for the hell of it and i beat him by 3 or 4 decibals, playing "throw it up."

i didnt win any money, but it was a good time. i got some video, but i'll have to figure out how to cut bits and pieces of them.

bass racing is funner, crx musta had a bad song. he shoulda used young jeezy - gangta music its right at 62hz. no reason he shoulda been that much lower than your score if hes burping that much higher than you. unless he doesnt have any batts, but still

well i think he was playing a lower song... i'm sure he'd have been higher if he had the right song. that crx was just about a one note wonder, everyone, even the owner of the crx agreed my truck sounded much louder to the ear and was much more brutal to sit in with music. it's my daily driver, the rex was trailered up there and had radiator problems when he left it running for too long.

i was peaking 10-14 hz lower than him. being very competitive by nature, this could be a bad thing... next time a comp comes around, i'm likely to pick up a 2nd memphis amp for burps, or maybe just drop mine to a 1/4 ohm. for right now, i'm just going to focus on getting my electrical a little more beefy, thinking about swapping my d3100 battery for 4 batcap 800s. would take up about the same amount of space under my rear seat.

theres one of my quick bass race runs, just playing around. you can see the peak db going over 150 to the right of the average, if you go hd.

dont know, all the average runs were really low, the highest i saw all weekend was that 129.8 there and i was going full tilt. i started a bit late there, but only maybe a second, shouldnt have been enough to throw it off that much.

i know bass race is sealed up, this was just for fun. my truck was pretty much the only one there that could play real low frequencies loud as piss, so i played some music on the mic just to see what it did, only one or two other cars did the same.
