98-2002 Explorer or Blazer? Both 4 door? which does better sub wise

Ok this may or may not be a dumb question, but me and a buddy of mine who go around to competitions together were discussing and trying to name out things in which would be better between a 98-2002 Explorer vs Blazer of the same age and both 4 door. And we couldn't really decide on which one would do better overall for SPL purposes... We've heard very loud explorers and blazers locally but of course nobody has the same setup as one another (atleast that we've heard/know about) so we have no way of really figuring it out... Lets say they both had same amp, same subs, and same box, same wiring, same everything, which one do you guys really think/know would be louder? I'm looking at both of them to buy and I don't really care which one is better, I'll buy what I can get a better deal on, just curious. We came to a conclusion its more about what you like more but that was about it haha

alright thanks for the heads up! haha I dont think I would want an all time-awd anyways.. they tend to have differential problems. and that'd make sense with the transmissions, my 98 expedition is on its 4th one with only 130k ish miles... and blazers I know those years do tend to have problems.... i'll probably try to find an explorer anyways.. I think those years look better to... but thanks for the input.. any others with any with info on the 2 pitch in as well.. Thanks!

I think you need to learn to drive if you've gone through 4 transmissions with only 130k miles.

wow, i drive a 1998 explorer and its mint. i bought it used 3 years ago and haven't done anything but bearings. My ****** shifts perfect. Maybe the guy who owned it before me fixed the ****** before i got it

Ohh and i believe the explorer is a better SPL truck than the Blazer and i also would take the explorer over a blazer any day of the week

I think the blazer would do better with a small setup pair tens. The explorer better with larger pair 15s
I don't agree with that at all actually.

In a 4 door Blazer there is a decent amount of room in the back for many different types of setups. Just depends on what your going for. I was doing good numbers with 2 12s and 2k in mine a little while back. I should have done 2 15s as there was enough room but I didn't feel like rebuilding it knowing I was going to wall it off soon.

well my expedition was grandma driven by my mom. she never goes over 2-2500rpms EVER. So i highly doubt that was the case. it did get used for pulling our boat for awhile, and one ****** had something recalled in it, the other was just a piece and the third one slipped really bad after 10k miles... i've come to the conclusion on its more what you like when it comes between the 2... they both have their advantages in my eyes... im more of a chevy guy, but like the luxury part of the fords better... i'll look around.. thanks for the input tho everyone

oh and i would be running a pair of 15s in either off about 2-2200
