Depends on which thunder sub. Everyone on here hates mtx besides the 9500 series. I have a pair of cheap asss (like 60 a pop) 10in thunders that i love. I dont care what anyone says, they hit good and accurate. Bought thoughs mofo's 5 years ago, they still bang hard in my brothers pickup today. Its possibly a good lil bump, bazookas where great for ppl just wanting a lil bump for a little price in there car, cool lil tubes. As long as u were looking for just sum bump and not high end stuff u did fine. I would maybe gave 25 though

The offenders have already been informed via their infraction statement, but I'll warn everyone else... calling people names, making stupid comments like someone got herpes, trolling, thread dumping, and generally insulting other members, is not tolerated here. These rules are no longer new, aren't going away, and that sort of behavior is not tolerated here. If anyone here cant or wont comply with those rules, they need to find another forum to inhabit, its just that simple.

We've been doing a lot better lately, but Ive started to see a trend of people 'forgetting' these rules. You should not need to be reminded to treat other people here with respect, or keep your trap shut altogether. If this disturbing trend continues, I will start bypassing the infraction system and just start handing out bans until people realize we moderators are dead serious about this. I found the replies to this thread to be completely unacceptable.

ive heard plenty of mtx stuff and i dont think theyre that bad.. theyre reliable and seem to last/hold their value but in my opinion a little overpriced for what you get.. but that's what i think of your L7s to.. im not baggin just my opinion.. everyone has their own.. my brothers a big mtx guy, he's never had any problem with them, and its a very common name that ppl, even those who know next to nothing about car audio, they still know names such as kicker, mtx, jl audio, etc etc etc.. they know those names for a reason.. i dont think it was necessarily a bad buy, but like someone else said, Idk if i wouldve given $40 for something that may have been rigged into that tube.. just sayin but you should be able to atleast make a little off of it..

MTX is like many companies, victim of the industry trends. Big power, lots of boom, high power handing, overhung motors and Korean amplifiers. The consumers tend to dictate what the industry molds to. Me personally, I tend to follow the innovators, but there is certainly something to be said for companies who work to accommodate the current trends too. MTX has traditionally been one of those companies. This doesn't make them bad, we all have our own needs and wants out of this hobby. If all companies used the same business model, the hobby would be pretty boring.
