97 Grand Prix setup Help!

Need opinion....Looking to either put a Single Alpine Type R or Kicker Solo Baric L5 in girlfriends 97 Prix. Will be powered off a 600.1 kicker amp putting out about 700rms and in a custom ported box. Was wondering what your guys opinions are...Which one will be louder and sound better. I want good sound, but also want that killer shaking you get. Basically i want her impressed with it. Any opinions?
