96 s10 rear speakers

hey have a 96 s10 extended cab i no what the rear speakers are 4x6 but didnt realize they where bolted to the dam trim panel wtf.. does anyone have ideas and or pics of what to use or mod theyve do to better this setup

Hm I don't remember mine being bolted to the panel.. but I guess that makes sense. I don't know that it will be possible to fit any other size back there and the front speakers have to be pretty shallow to fit. Basically these trucks **** for replacement speakers without running custom pods etc... lol

yeah was wondering if anyone has resized the hole in the body to run a bigger speaker

Actually they are 4x10 and there is no way unless you wanna install 2 sets of 4" on each side or build pods

I don't remember them being bolted to the trim panel on my old 91 s10, but I do remember having to remove the seat belt bolt, it was a large size torx and was a huge pain in the ass to remove.
