does anyone know the best place to run the power wire through the firewall in a 96 civic? i tried to find a place but could not figure out how to either find the opening on the inside of the car, or how to get the grommet thing out on the firewall. i would really rather not drill a whole...

any help??????

it should be on the driver side above the foot rest.

i was pulling on it and i couldnt get it to come out... can i just run the wire under the car? what should i do to keep it safe and not drag?

you could run it under your car but its not a good idea.

you should be able to pull it out grab a pair of pliers, what i did was i pulled it out and cut a hole in it so there would be no water leakage.

it should look something like this:

Im guessing thats where the clutch cable/pedal would normally go in a manual //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hmm, ill go outside and look again... did u take ur carpet off to run it? or does ur carpet just stop there, lol.

how do i get the panel off to the backseat? i can get the panels off the front door sill and the middle where the seatbelt is, but how do i get it from the back seat to the trunk?

DO NOT run your wires under the car. They fit fine through the factory grommet. Last thing you want is wires to get damaged and thus your whole electrical system getting messed up. Civics sit too low for that. Believe me, I've had a muffler get knocked off because of a bump in the road, imagine if wire snaps and is dragging on the ground. Not good. Worst comes to worse, you could pay someone to put a hole in your firewall to run your wire through. Remember NO SYSTEM IS WORTH YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR CAR'S SAFETY. As slim shady says "be smart don't be no retard."
