96 Grand Am Firewall

I want to run a 4 gauge power wire through the firewall on my 96 Grand Am SE V6, and I have searched the engine bay but cannot find a logical place to run the wire.

I have not found any grommets that I can really use to do this. Nor have I found any great places to drill through.

Do you guys have any ideas?

Also I forgot to mention this is only temporary I want to run 1-2 runs of 1/0 gauge in about a month. So I will need a good place to go through the firewall.

I ran it through the ignition harness huge grommet at the back left corner of the engine bay. It was sitting behind the glove box, worked fabulous.

you can also go low on the right hand corner of the firewall(usually single layer and no wiring to worry about) and use a step bit to achieve the size hole you want.

I went top right hand corner of the firewall on the grand ams I owned & used a hole saw to fit 2 runs of 2/0.. seemed to look like the best place to me.. look for gromets at your local automotive stores..
