9500 Enclosure???

i am building a new box for my sub. its a mtx 15" 9500. its going to be 26 in tall, 18.5 in wide and 18 in deep. how big should i make the port and how far down should i make it go. i was thinking 3" port, 11" down. that means the port would be 30.5 inches total and it will have 51cubic inches of area. the box is 3 cubic feet and tuned to 35 hz. does that sound good? i wanted to know everyones input. thanks

Is that 3 cubes after displacement? The recommended specs for the 9500s from MTX are way to small for that sub.. (not saying you are following the MTX specs) but Other than that, 3 cubes is about right IMO..

Drop it in 3 cubes NET @35hz... 50-60 sq. in. of port... and it SHALL wang.
