If I fold the seats down in my bronco which is quite a bit shorter and not as wide as an explorer I have enough room for at least 2 15's if I keep the box below the window line. Right now I have a box that's 4.5cubes net and it fits fine probably could've gone slightly bigger too so I'm sure if you folded down your rear seats you'd have enough space for 4 15's
