90 amp alt okay for zx2500.1 with a 2400?

I would agree - that much amperage draw with an alternator incapable of making even half that isn't going to result in happy things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Been running 2-3k RMS daily with my stock 90A and a decent Autozone battery for years.

I prolly get alot of voltage drop (never cared enough to check it), but my lights dimming isn't a huge issue, since I don't streetbeat much.

well for one ur prob clipping ur subs which u don't care
Who? Me? Clipping my subs? Or the OP? I mean, for the OP, he didn't say anything about his subs, so you can't know what he's got, and as for me, well, I'm certainly not clipping ANYthing in my system.

I really am not sure who you're responding to, or what makes you think there is any clipping going on.

If you plan to actually utilize 2000+ watts for any significant period of time then, no, a 90-amp alternator will absolutely not do the job. If you listen to music that consists of more than synthesized sine wave material at rational levels then you'll be okay... just keep an eye on your voltage, if you drop under 12 for extended periods it can damage the amp.
