Custom built box by extremely reputable builder, 80sqin. of port area, tuned to 28hz.

2 15" FI Q's

Everything is in very very good condition, I am in Sacramento, California area.

I'm not even sure what all this is worth anymore I been out of CA scene for a minute but umm..... $800 OBO.

boxes dont have a good resale value...especially plain mdf ones. (imo box is not worth 300) Do you have a build log or something we can check it out?btw isnt 80 in^2 a pretty small port for 2x15s?

Gl on ur sale though, bump
A build log? lol ya look up the very first post/review posted up on this site you should find interesting stuff.

and no 40sqin. or port per 15 works perfect.

thats a small port area for that big of box...sounds like they are choking to me

I would built you that box for $150 with materials too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you want 12-16 sq in of port per cube, and you have way less than that

free BUMP for ya...gl:D

Don't try to school me square, I'm no newb. And the person that built this box shits out the knowledge you know.

I am in the same boat as you with the box. Shops charge about 250-300 bucks just for a box. 100 of that is just MDF and the other 200 is just labor... I paid 250 for a 2 15" box from a reputable shop.

Last time I checked, only minimal knowledge on acoustics is necessary for a simple box build.

However, I can't give your box builder much credit because he drilled a hole for the wire to go through rather than using a bolt, or a terminal cup. While it's not necessarily bad... the resistance of a good quality brass bolt is minimal, not even noticeable, and will have a much tighter seal than silicone around a wire...

Free bump but $800 is a bit pricey.
