edit, lol.Your 12''s must have REALLY sucked if you think two 8"s can sound as good.
I was addressing the OP, i would have quoted if i was directing at a particular person................................like i did here. Was this to me or him?
Easy Billy, it was just a question, lol.I was addressing the OP, i would have quoted if i was directing at a particular person................................like i did here.
The ONLY way to get decent 8'' sub to equal a decent 12'' sub is to compensate for cone area with power. You might be able to sound better with smaller subs if you original build with the 12''s was not up to par. But if 8"s and the 12''s were in the correct enclosure with the same power, the 12''s will yield more output than 8''s. Pretty simple, you can go with power or cone area.what u mean rise??
i had them wired up to 4 and back down to 2 ohms i think
i cant remember but i had wired right to where i would be gettin maximum output of the amp but i kno its still not enough power for both
BUT THATS NOT THE POINT
i want a few small subs that will make the same output as the 2 12s but in a smaller package
Wasn't meant the way it sounded, just typed and posted.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifEasy Billy, it was just a question, lol.
edit, lol.
To OP you'd be surprised at the output 4 1508 can do.
I had 4 of them running off of an AQ2200. They got loud as hell. There was a guy on here that meet me at a local show to hear them. While we were there, there was a truck with 8 12" seal. People walked from him to my truck when I turned it on, lol. It was great. I miss my 8"s.
