build a ported box, dont face it in just leave the center arm rest down. face it backwards. build it to the maximum size you can without the compromise of space... 1 cuft plus port and sub displacement. tuned around 38hz or so... should be ok. should sound loud... what kind of amp are you running?

I was thinking putting the sub lower and exiting the port on top.

I was also thinking sub facing out the armrest, like it is, and an aero port or two exiting out the rear deck.

It's a well known fact that L7s like larger, ported enclosures. No wonder it sounds like poo... its in a tiny sealed enclosure.

.33 does sound like a rather limited airspace even if they "recommend" that much.

Get that L7 in a bigger ported enclosure, My 3 L5 8" sounded like shit in a sealed box once I had a ported box made for them it was like night and day difference.

i got one of those in my standard cab silverado off 650 rms ported and it slams. .6cf with 2" aero...

you cant expect to put an l7 in a sealed box and expect it to sound good, it wont happen.. l7 is made for ported box, it is an SPL subwoofer and not SQ so dont expect good sound quality from it, although it will be a lot better in a little bigger box, one that is ported
