8L7 Sealed .33 cu ft. 600watts!! Wheres my bass???

I have a 8L7 Kicker Solobaric in a sealed box built to spec and %50 polyfill . Giving it 600 watts @ 2 ohms .. Firing into the cabin from the rear armrest/skipass. To be honest It sounds like garbage. At high volume it starts to sound muddy-ish. Not what I expected for an L7. SQ sucks . I know ported is my next option but i want to save on space though.

I tried almost everything and I did a good search!!!! Everybody else seams to be happy with they're 8L7 .

that, but u should try building a ported box, i might help. i don't think those subs are meant for sealed, but i don't have much experience w/ them

OP if its not sealed to the ski hole turn it around.. a lot of people running L7's get the muddy sound... Idk what you are expecting as they aren't sq oriented.. they are mainly meant to get piss loud for cheap

Double check your box/driver parameters. I think that box may be too small for an L7.

The box is built to what Kicker says in the manual. .33 cu ft. %50 polyfill %100 airtight.

first off, thats just a reccomendation, i bet it models up differently in a box design program

second, I wouldnt seal an L7

third, dont expect much from a single 8" driver that is non-ported

Im going to build a ported box this weekend and if this little Fuccer dont impress me, To the classifieds it goes!!!! Any suggestions or ideas about how i should port it.? The sub has to face out the arm rest. My trunk is completely sealed off from the trunk.
