87.7 Fm

There's a new dance music station in NYC at 87.7 FM. Trouble is, half of my radios including my Kenwood HU only tune down as far as 87.9 FM.

Which companies make HUs that tune down to 87.7?

Better yet, is there any way to convince Kenwood to release a new firmware that will enable this frequency? I know they've previously released updates to address iPod and USB issues.

Alternately, I'd probably buy Kenwood's forthcoming plug-in HD Radio tuner if it adds this frequency, but so far I haven't seen any specs on it. Anyone got info on this?

Don't listen to dance music. That should be a fairly cheap upgrade.

No, haha, seriously though, that sucks. I would e-mail Kenwood and notify them of this problem. Perhaps even contact the radio station and let them know they are losing out on potential listeners--perhaps they will contact Kenwood as well.

I know my stock head unit went down to 87.7 because I had my FM modulated changer on that frequency. Pretty sure my Pioneer does too.

Ha OK, I knew that would be the first thing someone would say. Seriously I listen to everything though, so it sucks to miss out on an interesting source due to a technicality after spending so much on a nice system.

Anyone got an E-mail address for Kenwood's engineering dept? Preferably one where somebody will actually get it, not just blow it off with a mindless cut-&-paste auto-response?
