I don't need one of these
I'm looking for an amp that will do 800w @ 4ohms mono. I just bought the 2 IDW's from BoominBeast and they are single 8ohm 400w RMS... I'd just search it but every time I try searching for amps I end up with 800w max pyles etc etc.... The only one I've found so far is the Cadence Z9000 and it is FUGLY! Any recommendations?

Kaption HC 250.2. DJGTSR has one left i beleave for 175 + shipping. I bought his other one and was very impressed with build quality and board construction. It is a hefty beaast:)

its not mono but i think it would work in your situation. A Phoenix gold xenon 200.4 bridged will put out 400x2 @ 2-8 ohm. (or 200x4 @ 1-4 ohm). They can be had fairly cheap, and are very flexible for future installs. However they are current hogs, and have fuse ratings of 120 amps (class a/b).

PG xenon's are fugly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif plus I had my PG XSsomething die on me back in the day... still like old school pg but it will be visiable in the back of my 4Runner... The Kaption HC 250.2 seems interesting...

I could always ditch the exterior of the amp and glass it into the sub box, guts exposed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

i dont think you should pick an amp based on its looks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. i'd buy it according to performance. i've owned several cadence z9000's and they are solid amps. do thier rated power, and sound excellent...

well when you have this many choices you can be picky about looks... if it was in a trunk I wouldn't care but it'll be in my cargo area so I've decided to care... I could paint it black or display it's guts like the xenon and I'd be happy with it

kx800.2? rubicon 1000? there tons of quality 2 channel amps that can do that. Zr1000 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
