8 subs

I need a box design for 8 8" subs. Iv been trying to come up with somthing creative but nothin comes to mind. I planned on going with a sealed box to keep things simple with 8 subs. Any suggestions?

There was someone with a trunk install of 8's that I liked on here...it was a diamond pattern of subs on each side and a port in the middle.

Could do something similar, only sealed.

I'd choose neither...but that's just me...unless I was getting them at a hell of an accomodation.

I would love to make a sealed box but i have absolutly no idea how i would port 8 subs. Im a pretty big noob at building boxes, thats why i was going to go with a sealed one.

I could get the Rockford for under 300 for all of them. I dont have to high of a budget. what would you recomend. Im goin for SPL.

Use a common chamber and build one port. Would need to take a lot into account in designing, but shouldn't be that tough to actually build.

i would look into Ascendant Audio Assasin's- 50 bucks for the 8- and can handle 350 RMS. what vehicle is this going in, and how much space are you willing to sacrafice? For SPL, you would tune higher 40s, 50s, but if your going for loud, and hit all the notes good, tune it low to mid 30s. Once the plans are made, ported shouldnt be too tough to make, just time consuming. take your time, its well worth it

ok, well im conviced about the AA Assassins now. But b/c they are alittle more, im only getting 4. So this box can only take up half my trunk. That way when i get my next 4 i can put it right next to the other ones.

My car is 1995 ford taurus. The dimensions are 36" wide, 16" tall and i dont rember how deep, but its deeper than it is wide.

If someone would help me design a ported box for these i would love them forever. It can only take up half my trunk. here are the spec http://www.ascendantaudio.com/assassin8specs.html.

why would you want 8 8" subs? Just get one 12" they are amazing!

humm lets see, 1- 12" everyone does it and well, its kinda boring

8- 8" dont see that every day plus the challenge of creating a box(if you like doing this stuff then this isnt a downside", wiring them up, ect.

I hear that.

I think I'm going to say go for 4 AA assasin 8's. Gonna be a sick setup. I've heard assasin 8's have some crazy SQ as well.
