nope....200 is the most that i'd recommend... i was thinking of running 16 of them in a rex....200...maybe 250 but thats pushing the limits.

I am running 6 of the 12" versions @ 300rms. They are taking it no problem. I would say 300rms would be fine for the 8"s

My re8's were in .5 cubes each ported at 34hz...around 200w was all they wanted. I never got them hot but was able to bottom them out pretty easy. A smaller box might help control them but 375w would be way too much. Mine did sound really good, not as loud as the dd1508's but sounded MUCH better.

For the price RE REs cant be beat, i wouldn't let each one see more than like 250 watts at the most daily. For burps i've seen the 12s take 750+ watts each.

 

But they are soo d*mn cheap that even if u do blow one it can be replaced for under $50.

Who has the best deal on RE's these days? Looking at either going RE or Phoenix Gold in my new HHR Panel company car... four 8's, two 10's, or one 12. I have to watch my depth, will only have around 6 inches, probably 1.2-1.8 cubes once the glasswork is done.
