8" subs...

I'm looking for some great 8" subs to fit behind the seat of my standard cab F-150. I've been looking very hard at the RE8, because the recommended box size is really small, and from what I've heard, Resonant Engineering is a good brand. Plus, they're not very expensive so I wouldn't have to break the bank to get a couple.

Is this a good choice? Do you guys have any other suggestions?

I've got a standard cab f150 and i'm running 2 rl-i 10's right now in a .5cf box. They sound very nice.

My budget is around $100 - $130 per sub. I'll check out those SoundSplinters, Eclipse, The Kicker L7's, the W7's(JL Audio?), and DD.

To answer your original question, yes RE8's are a popular choice for regular cab owners. And while there are definitely better 8's out there (Koda 8, prolly the Rl-i, etc) the RE8 seems to be a good little performer for the like $50 each they cost.

Koda 8 sounds alot better than the RE 8, but the RE 8 kills it output wise...
