8" subs big setups

any one that has done setups or 6+ 8" subs.. how did you like em? what numbers did you do? what kinda box design? would you recommend it? how did they like the lows? i like 30hz and such..

thinking of doing 6-8 of these in a mini wall/BP

I messed with 8 RE8's at one time...had them wired to 1ohm with a single saz1500D and did a 149 outlaw at 40hz in a 4-door dodge truck...tuned to 35hz, they liked the lows just fine.

These were to old **** RE8's, not the new ones.

2 ohm

3500-4000W x 1ch 12v - 14.4v

1 ohm

5000W-5500W x 1ch 12v - 14.4v

yes it was wired to 1ohm. my tuning was higher though since DD's like it

I would look into Kicker 8L7s. Beefy little speakers.

i did 8 memphis m class 8s carbon fiber cone dual rubber surround, omg was beast cleanest bass ever was set up in simple sealed box and pounded the shit out of my 1990 cadillac fleetwood

Nice, Imma have to keep on this thread. Im planning on a small sub large cone area build soon. Was thinking more along the line of 10x 10s but I may do 12x 8s..not sure right now.

And now i have to edit my post after seeing those L7s lol. Def some beast little 8s..but if youve got the cash to spend and the room. Id def do some JL W7 8s..def some beefy little 8s but pricey as hell for an 8.
