The Dayton HF 8 has been mentioned a could times, excellent option. Another very budget oriented SQ 8" would be the CSS Trio8. Won't have the SPL of the DD or Sundown, but with the XBL motor and triple copper shorting rings, its going to be sqeaky clean with zero distortion. Superior build quality for only 85 bucks as well.

ended up ordering a 1508. any suggestions on enclosure/port size? i guess at this point im leaning a little more towards sql. thanks everyone for the input.
