8 cubes for 2 15L7's (ported)

I'm thinking about purchasing 2 06 model 15" L7s. The most room I have for a box is 8.86 cubes withOUT taking sub and port displacement into consideration. I realize that this is a little small but would it still work.

The specs call for 3-6 cuft per sub. I would be giving them 33% more space than the minimum req. in an 8 cuft box.

So, to me it seems like this box would work while it might not be ideal. It would only be used for a year or two before being installed in a different car with more space.

Thanks in advance.

you're considering a new car, in order to have more space for subs?
dude, get laid. immediately.
haha, noooo....

I switch cars fairly often, rarely keeping one more than 3 years. I buy a car, modify it to my taste, and sell it for profit on down the road.

Did you have an answer to my question?

sounds ok to me. like you said. it wont be ideal but will work well and is close to rec specs. i run mine in a bit over 10 cubes and LOVE it.

i run two 1500.1 kicker amps with light gains. one for each sub to mine daily and it is super loud. in a smaller box i would make sure that you put no less then 900-1000 per sub.
