Ok so here is a box for my friends truck, a Chevy 2500 king cab.

Id say this is about my 8th box build.

Still lots of learning to do and they get better everytime.. Thanks for all the people that i stole some ideas from.

Putting it together....

Well i had a hard time keep the camera on me so i skipped alot of pictures this time. =(

Anyways here is a jump to the pictures i do have.

Ok now fastforward abit

Screw holes were drilled, used t-nuts..

We also used brass bolts through the box as speaker terminals, oh and yeah we had to add ghetto green cathodes!!! there are brass terminals for those to:







Im still going to sand it back down later and repaint. possiby a white interior and redo the exterior. That plexiglass will be replaced with thicker stuff... right now its 4 sheets of 1/10 but thats all they had atm. Lots of sanding still ahead.

Let me know what you think... I know its dirty as hell but we were in a rush to hook it up and test her out....

oh well yeah anyways.. I had to get out of the back of the truck cuz my head started to hurt a little bit... I had to scream noticeably louder to hear myself over the sub woofer, I think it was well worth it. Build took roughly 3 days so far

I still have lots of improving to do, im just surprised by how much a differance in output there was between this box and the last one being around 4 cubes 38 hz and 37in^2 port

don't look too bad. one q though...y the terminals on top? kinda ugly. other than that nice build.

lol, thats a good question, i forgot to point that out..

this isnt how the box sits in his truck. we removed one of his seats so the box sits on its side... port up and sub woofer to the side with the plexiglass window on top.. the terminals sit snug right out of view covered by the other seats

Interesting... I built a similar box for my 3515d. 3.5 cubes tuned to 32hz with 87.5 sq. in. if port.

after we build this new box im working on, hes prolly gonna try to sell this box. The plexi glass hole is becoming an issue so were either gonna seal it up or use something thicker.

everyone on DDs forum swore up and down this is the size I had to use or it would be "boomy" I kinda wish I would have went bigger, woulda cut down on the port a lot...
