76' Monte, and 6x9 swap

Took this beauty out for it's first real stretch today, then stopped at Walmart for the cheapest FM transmitter and 6x9s I could, since the readio/s reception sucked, and the original speakers sucked, too!

Here's a couple comparison pics from the speakers I thoguht were funny. That 76' speaker is just about the lowest powered thing I've ever seen.. the spider was sooo tiny. And since we're on a car audio forum..

The speakers only have a 1 wire setup.. 1 wire into the speaker, and then you ground the other to the frame of the car somewhere. I've never seen that done before, how come?

Floating ground system. Those were phased out in the 80s due to fires. Plus, the new shit sounds MUCH clearer.
