720p tv question..?

You are all missing the big picture... The TV is only capable of 720P. The TV is the limiting factor, not the input device...
You WILL NOT NOTICE A DIFFERENCE. 720P is going to look like 720P, does not matter if the input is coming from a sony device or a microsoft device.

Brynm, you can only tell a difference between the upscaling DVD player and the blu ray player becaues upscaling is a load of crap IMHO. It just adds/doubles lines to attempt to fool you. DVD's are not HD devices, and upscaling is still not a true HD experience.

But as far as gaming on the two systems, 720P is going to look like 720P, doesnt matter which console.

It depends on what he's doing with the system, personally I'd take the 360 over the ps3 based on gaming, but movies will look much better on the ps3's blu ray. I was basing my earlier comments on movies.

I got a new Vizio 32" plasma the other day, and its a 780p. Hooked up my buddies 360 to it and it plays better than a dvd player, both with HDMI too.

Not bad picture at all.
