Two mounts I just got back from the taxidermist..

Heres a 128" 12-point I killed this past season...

And my triple bearded Rio gobbler I got last spring in Texas... I absolutely love this mount..

Turkeys with more than 1 beard are few and far between..A triple bearder is very rare..This bird had 19" of beard..

A cheaper, but dang good taxidermist in Mississippi is Levi Hendrix (Levi's Taxidermy, hes located at Corinth) You might try hitting him up next time you need something stuffed, he does good work for a good price....

Andy Stanford of Saltillo Mississippi did these..Turkey are normally $500 but he knocked off $100 since we take so much stuff to him..Second deer he has mounted for me.. Deer are normally $350 but he charges us $300..He has won numerous taxidermy contests..

I took my gobbler to him last August and he just got finished with it.. Since he took so long with it, he went ahead and did my buck for me too..I took my buck to him 12/30.. He has so much business, you normally won't get a deer back for 5-6 months..Just took 2 for mine though since I had a turkey there too..

Im asking out of genuine interest and curiousity, not to flame.

Why do people like to have they animals the kill mounted and set somewhere where you see it everyday. I would think it would be rather awkward to have to see a dead deer in my house everyday.

Some people like to display tophies of their accomplishments, those are tropies of the sport of hunting.

Some people like to display artwork also, this is a form of artwork too.
