7" bose home audio speakers ported???

Well i took out these bose 7" speakers from their stock small ported box. I have some .25" mdf board laying around and thought i would make a big ported box for them and run them off a home stereo amp. Might sound retarded but its something to do. Anyone have any suggestions for box size, tuning, or anything in general? thanks...

Erm.. I'm very interested to know just how aweful that sounds. Bose speakers are absolute junk. You know those BOSS subs everybody says to stay away from? They sound better than Bose "subs". I'm not exagerating, either, because I own both and I've listened to them A/B.
