7 hertz

I know, audio in the thunderdome - yuck. I was doing some fun googling for nazi subwoofer experiments. And found that our brainwaves function at 7 hertz, it appears this is also the resonant frequency of many of our organs as well.

It continued to say that exposure to 7 hertz will reduce your ability to think as it interfears with brainwaves. Interesting, no?

Is there any amp or equiptment that can play that low? I think it be pretty neat to litterly make people retarded with my music.

Heres the link, its a pretty long read.

infrasound!

^i had to read that a couple times to understand it. Haha. It seemed like a neat thing to mention. I always wondered what these intense noises do to other animals. I didnt know that dropping a few hertz from 'normal' could lock up my brain. Its an interesting thought.

and to those who think its stupid, dont comment and let it die. I dont care. I just like tid-bits about my hobbies and figured you may too.

a long time ago i saw a program about ghosts.

an old factory or something was supposedly haunted and many of the people that went in there said they saw things or felt strange when they were inside, the second they went outside they felt better and didnt see any odd things.

they debunked the ghost theory when one of the care takers placed something on his desk and noticed it vibrating and move. Then they found a huge fan in the basement that was imbalanced and causing an in audible tone throughout the building.

fixed the fan and the "ghost" experiences stopped.

and sound goes sooo much farther then what humans can hear.

for instance the brain in influenced by 40kHz waves when listening to the violin. they played a violin song for listeners while monitoring brain waves, then they filtered out any sounds/harmonics above 20kHz. Not only did the brain react differently but the listeners also liked the un-filtered version more. even though humans can only hear to at best 18kHz.

also also show me one person that likes sitting in 45-50hz at 160db... (its a joke but its generally uncomfortable)

sound does crazy things

Whoa, that just made this post well worth it for me. The story about the fan was crazy, but i totally see that being possible. Its weird thinking that something we cant even hear can having such an impact on the way we perceive things. If noise can breakdown brainwaves maybe it could stimulate them too, wouldnt it be awesome to play a song that could increase your intelligence?

Never experienced 160 in a car

many studies have shown babies still in the womb hear and are impacted by what they hear. for instance playing classical music to unborn babies has been shown to increase brain activity, thus increasing intelligence.

not that playing music will make you smarter but it can help stimulate your brain to help you learn something.

Iv seen plenty of vids of 160 but that doesnt mean iv felt it.

That second lrad video was intense, that power cable wasnt to fat i should look into strapping one of those on my sunroof. I cant even imagine a 162db tweeter.
