Hey, I was going to get some 6x9's for my Chevy Tracker then I did a search on this forum and found that 6x9's tend to distort at higher volumes.
If you know anythign about the Tracker, it is stupid small. I have alread had to get a custom box built to I could squeeze my 2 Alpine Type R 12's in the trunk, so I really have no room at all in there.
I currently have 4-4" speakers, in the factory spots. I was going to put 6x9's in the rear, because I can cut out enough space in the pannels for them. I got to thinking that Maybe I could get a single 8 for midbass, instead of using two 6x9's in place of my 2 rear 4" speakers.
I could build a box between the two rear seats for the 8" woofer.
Which idea is better?
Any other ideas would be great too.
