6x9's to be run off of HU?

So, after using amped 6.5's up front only, I'm trying to get a fuller sound. I don't feel like cutting any metal in my rear deck, so they have to be 6x9s.

I would like to have a decent response down below 50Hz. I was looking into some Tang Band 6x9's from PE(likely the ones everyone's looked at/used. They're labeled as subs), but I'm not sure if the HU would be able to power them very well.

No I don't but i'm sure they sound decent/good and for $38 they can't be beat. I think i'm going to pick up a set of them.

Cool. I have a budget of about 60 bucks to replace my 6x9s in the rear of my wagon (one blown). And these would be right up my alley price wise.

If your going to use the t.b. in the rear deck,i'd def. Amp them.

I cut my rear deck for 2 8's,then enlarged them for 2 10's...the 10's were bad ***!

That's what I assumed. The TB's were more of a pipedream than anything. I don't have the funds necessary for another amp, so the TB's seem to be out of the question for now -- and probably forever.

I got a set of the morels coming(supposed to be here thursday). They have good sensitivity so should sound good even without a amp. Of course there probably would not be much bass response without being amped. I got the 6.5 comps in these to match , all 4 speakers for $119 just cant be beat.

This is a total newb question and might sound dumb, but in this price range is there much bass difference between different 6x9s? I have Polk 4x6's in the front and would like even a tiny bit of bass if possible from the rear 6x9s. Again sorry if thats a dumb question.

Yes depends on the power ratings. My 4x6 don't produce any midbass at all, and neither do my 6x9's but they only handle like 50 w and their off hu power . My new ones handle like 80 at least, but i bet they take more and they should produce descent bass. Of course you need a sub if you truly want bass.
