6x9 subwoofers or 6.5 subwoofers

In my 2015 Toyota Tacoma, I have been contemplating building my own enclosure next summer. I have been toying with the idea of two 6x9 subwoofers or two 6.5 subwoofers. Either one will be ported (Aero Port).

I don't know why, but I really like the idea of a 6x9 subwoofer setup.


Keep in mind, I only have 700 watts to play with and about 5 1/4 mounting depth

No. If that were the case I would have booted Skar right off the list.

Those Rockville "subwoofers" are not subwoofers IMO. More mid bass. Look at the FR.

Gotcha. I am still looking and have a long time to plan this out.

Not a chance I would use those Rockvilles for subwoofers.

I installed a pair on a friends Harley and let’s just say he is on his 3rd pair. I’m sure it’s user error because he won’t leave the gain knob alone but still, I wouldn’t recommend them.
