if you want them to produce the same quality, y dont u put 6.5 in the back? 6.5's have less cone area, but they distort less than the 6x9.

A 6.5" speaker will distort less than a 6x9 of the same quality.

As Squeak said, put 6.5" speakers in the 6.5" location and call it good. I would be willing to bet they are run off HU power, which makes the RMS power ratings on them quite useless.

6x9's are for noobs... i put 6.5's in my 6x9 locations..

if you have a honda and you want a moderate system that you want to make alot of loud noise for as cheap as possible, then get the saw-zall and start hacking.

if you want somethign that sounds way better, and not as loud, get yourself a 6.5

6.5's would be the best suggestions I could offer... I have all 6x9's in my car and they do sound good... but 6.5's would sound even better and I know that now.

As far as an adaptor plate, I do not think they would make plates to fit 6x9's in a 6.5 hole... Just because of the shape/size would be impossible... the 6.5 hole has a 6.5" length... while on a 6x9 you need 9" length.. you'd have to cut it a little.

I KNOW THAT

i meant they come with more rms handling power....

how can 6.5 be better then 6x9

6x9 has more rms handling power

6x9 has more sensitivity

only thing that 6.5 have more is the frequency ......

is that the most important thing.... of sound ?

Why does the honda have to be associated with cheap and loud?

A 6x9 will have more bass output than a 6.5. But a 6.5 will sound tighter than a 6x9.

There are no adapters to install a 6x9 speaker in place of a 6.5. Adapters are usually for installing a smaller speaker in a bigger hole. A 6x9 speaker is a lot wider than a 6.5 (9 inches compared to 6.5 or so).
