6x9 Baffles Question

I think I already know the answer, but want to verify.

I need 6x9 to 6.5" component baffles to get my Eclipse SC6500's in. These are the ones Im looking at:

6x9" to 5.25" or 6.5" Speaker Adapter Plate Bracket New - eBay (item 160486952987 end time Oct-05-10 19:50:13 PDT)

Will all those holes affect the sound quality?

Or would something like this be better:

Im not worried about rigidity. I have some EBR on the way that Ill use to add mass and they look way more sturdy than the other ABS adapters out there. Im worried about the holes causing issues.

those holes wont do much. you can always cover them up.

I figured they would basically be like an air leak for an IB style setup. I plan on deadening the doors when I install them. I may have alot of EBR I can toss in there or something.

Thats what I figured, but not sure what to use or how big they are. Think Ill have a problem with them being sturdy and having an odd resonance?
