hey all im back here again, havnt been on here a while..

so i have got home theathre speakers from a friend.. it did not come with a reciever but i have a old cd player which is a 6ohm load.. how i can i run these wires properly at the right load? for the sterior(amp) it has 4 output wires for left and right speaker. the theatre system(2speakers) has 4 input on each... i can get 1 speaker running but im not quite sure how i can get this done properly... and if i didnt gett it running properly will my speaker blow or amp blow? i dont mind the amp blowing, but i just dont want the system(theatre system) blowing. any help would be great

oh yeah i hooked it up earlier, all 4 wires from the reciever(amp/sterio - 6ohm) it ran for a bit wiith lovely sound but after a little bit it went out.. i tohught it was blown but i turned the amp/sterio off and on and it worked again. i realy dont mind breaking the sterio/amp but i just dont want to wreck the theatre speakers.. im just waiting for my next pay check for a reciever but it wont be for a little while.

sounds like you're overheating the amp or it's running unstable and hitting protection mode. I'd say just wait for the receiver. You're going to kick yourself in the *** if you damage those speakers and didn't just wait.
