650 rms@ 4 ohms need sub(s) to match

destruction..

the soundsplinter's are excellent subs..the rl-i's get really low and sound really good sealed, while still getting quite loud. durability, well, they are built excellently and should last a long time, depending on how they are treated..with 650 to the pair..i'd wager they'd darn near last a lifetime.

email mike@soundsplinter.com , excellent guy to deal with and he's very honest about his products. visit http://www.soundsplinter.com and check out the products. also, go here, the official SS forum

and watch/listen to this video of rl-i 10's doing their thing...

rl-i pr0n

also, the pair of 10's would run $300 plus shipping and mike is located in northern los angles, so if ur out that way..u could just very well not have to pay shipping..ask him about it when u email...

teh jl's wouldn't be a bad choice either...or even memphis m3's...or going real budget, memphis pr's (10's or 12's)

talked to mike and i will be meeting up with him in a week or so to pick up those subs.

main question.

i spoke with al and eds autosound and they said going with 10w3v2's would give me minimal gain over the p2's i am currently running. SO, will i see a much larger gain by going with the soundsplinter 10's?

i have no personal experience with the p2's...but the rl-i has better specs. what does that mean? if the enclosure is right, u will see a difference. the rl-i is underrated quite a bit, so u could actually throw upwards of 500wrms on each for extended periods of time with no issues...if the enclosure is wrong, it means u won't notice a bunch...

i think u'll like the rl-i's...if ur picking them up, i'd suggest listening to mike's, he's running a pair himself.

I really don't think you'll have a problem with the RL-i subs. They dont' require a big box at all, and they sound extremely good. They are recommended in sealed enclosures. Good subs.
