however at the same time the evo is AWD, being at a disadvantage from a higher speed roll, and weight plays a small factor from a high speed roll.Evo has way better gearing stock for a roll-on ... It has a gearing-limited top speed of 162 MPH ... By comparison, the SVT Mustang Cobra has a gearing-limited top speed of 222 MPH ...
Power allows you to trade Force (Acceleration) for Speed (Top Speed) and vice versa through gearing ... Considering they're all about the same power and the Evo has significantly higher gear ratios, and assuming they never exceed 160 MPH, the Evo should win every time ... Also, the Evo weighs less furthering its advantage ...
No suprise that the Evo won ...
im not even gona attempt to argue with you youre gona bust out some crazy mathematical analysis on me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gifAcceleration = Force/Mass ... The only difference Speed makes is that, as said earlier, power/gearing allows you to trade Force for Speed. So, at higher Speeds, Force is lower and, consequently, Acceleration is lower.
I don't see how AWD is a disadvantage if they're both making relatively the same amount of power at the wheels ...
this is quite true //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifim not even gona attempt to argue with you youre gona bust out some crazy mathematical analysis on me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif
Im not AWD expert, but from what ive read about these is that AWD experience more drivetrain loss at higher speeds, putting them at a disadvantage up top.
STi runs a 13.0...so still badass...you sure ur only gettin 235 to the wheel?but drivetrain loss doesnt make a difference if they are using a chassis dyno and not using HP corrections... JMac's point is 600whp is 600whp, doesnt matter if you have 1 wheel or 20. Bhp (or flywheel hp) is different.
My STi is 300bhp stock, but realistically its only ~235 at the wheels. If it was rear wheel drive, it would still be 300bhp, but probably more like 260 at the wheels.
i didnt watch the video till after i posted so i didnt know they were moving. But from a stop what i said will happen. You see it all the time if you go to races (they have an import vs muscle night at the strip here). If you watched the video, the Cobras killed the Evo off the line probably because they started closer to peak hp.
That, along with the rest of your post, is BS ...

Your theory is not true at all.i didnt watch the video till after i posted so i didnt know they were moving. But from a stop what i said will happen. You see it all the time if you go to races (they have an import vs muscle night at the strip here).
