What kind iof a question is this? You know as well as others here that that sub is rated for much higher wattage, and wont perform nearly to its potential with that little power (not to mention putting it in a small enclosure). You want us to tell you it will perform awesome at that power? Well that's subjective. I ran one of my 15" xxx's off 400 watts for a while, it did fine. but if you want us to assure you it will perform better than any other choice, at that power, that's not gonna happen. You are either planning on running more power later, in which the xxx would be a good choice. Or you are planning on staying at 600 watts, and a xxx is not the best choice, obviously.ok what if i didnt have it yet...then would you suggest something else for 600 watts and similar sound..probably going in a 1.5 ported
Well put. Same response I was thinking of. Beat me to it.What kind iof a question is this? that's install error... if you can't get a sub to "move" off 1000w your amp/head unit settings need to be adjusted. i ran two MTs with quad still spiders on them off 1500w a piece and let me tell you they had no problem reaching xmax...I've seen one with 1000 watts and the cone was barely moving. Don't mean to crap on your parade, but IMO you'd be happier with 2 12 Type S.
Subs that reach their Xmax scare me.that's install error... if you can't get a sub to "move" off 1000w you're amp/head unit settings need to be adjusted. i ran two MTs with quad still spiders on them off 1500w a piece and let me tell you they had no problem reaching xmax...
the XXX has a fairly high sensitivity rating so i could see it performing just fine off 600w... although that box (1.5 cubes) is very small....
