600 rms 2 ohm sub ... what rms for two subs?

Don't have them yet, due to arrive this coming Wednesday. Went on the Image Dynamics site though and all it says is 50-300 rms. Others have said as long as my final impedance matches (2 ohms) then the subs will push what the amp produces ... 300 watts is what I'm after or a suitable substitute (is 200 rms good enough???).

Wire the subwoofers like this:

And they will each recieve 300w.

Thanks squeak. For clarification since I'm a novice, that diagram means to wire the voice coils in series right ... then wire the subs in parallel to the amp to get the right ohm/power????

Awesome!!! Thanks a ton //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Did you have any opinion on whether or not the 200 rms amp (being MTX usually underrates) will be enough? I'm looking at an alternative MTX amp which will save me around $60-70.

The alternative amp I mentioned which is the MTX MXA4001 ... if using two subs won't it split the 400 rms to 200 each sub? Just like what was discussed earlier with the MXA6001.
ah, might notice a little difference...not huge, not much money though either. J/c what are you paying for each amp?
